Dance Company is an advanced course offered through BCPS at New Town High School. Dancers must audition to be accepted into the course. Under the direction of Katie Duncan (Schiaffino), dance company performs in a variety of settings throughout the school year requiring strong dedication from the students. The students learn work from their director, guest artists, and student choreographers. Emphasis is placed on honing their performance qualities as well as advancing their choreographic skills.

 

 

New Town High School Dance Company has been on a journey of profound growth over the past few years. They have put their all into not only performing their pieces, but finding choreographic intent and artistic voice through personal story telling. They are emotionally invested in the content and inspiration for their works.
